Clubmark Status

DanceSport Academy are currently working toward a Government recognised status called Clubmark.

Club Programmes

DanceSport Academy operate several classes for a range of age groups and abilities at two dance studios and several school clubs around the Bedfordshire area, below are some details.

WHERE DANCESPORT STARS ARE BORN
Every Saturday at Bedford Guild House, 56 Harpur Street, Bedford MK40 2QT:
09.00am-10.30am - Intermediate Class
10.30am-12.00pm - Novice Class
12.00pm-1.00pm - Beginners Class
1.00pm-2.00pm - Competitive Squad Training
6.00pm-7.00pm - Total Beginners 1 Class (Teens)

Every Tuesday at Ridgeway School, Hill Rise, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 7EB:
5.00pm-6.00pm - Beginners and Improvers

Please register for these classes as numbers may be limited. New customers first session FREE.

Further classes are held in pre and after school clubs at Beauchamp Middle School, Brickhill, Daubeney Middle School, Kempston and Hills lower School, Bedford.

A class is also held at the University of Bedford.

To join these classes you have to be a student at the School or University.

PRACTICE SESSIONS
Every Friday at 6.00pm at Bedford Guild House, 56 Harpur Street, Bedford MK40 2QT.

Personal Training
Personal Training is bookable by appointment, training is from 30 minutes. Personal Training gives competitive couples a trainer/coach to themselves.

Excellence Coaching
The DanceSport Academy operates an Excellence Coaching Scheme for the development of its dancers. The Excellence Coaches will bring leading edge performance and choreography. Excellence Coaching takes place both in Bedford and at the studios of the Excellence Coaches. This gives us access to the three of the most prestigious DanceSport training Studios in the UK. It is very motivational for our dancers to visit these studios and find themselves having a lesson in the same room as some of the finest coaches and dancers in the world. ALL DanceSport Academy dancers are automatically members of the scheme.

The DanceSport Academy has access to a wide range of coaches in both Ballroom and Latin American dancing. Some of our Excellence coaches have included Matthew Cutler, from Strictly Come Dancing, and former World champion, John and Snieguole Wood, John a former world Ballroom Champion, Andrew Cuerden and Hanna Haarala. Christopher Hawkins and his then Partner Hazel Newberry, Both former triple undefeated World Champions and currently competiting.

We currently have dancers taking lessons with Karen Hardy from Strictly Come Dancing and Alison Fulham a leading coach for Juvenile competitors.
